Chemistry in book and chemistry with narrators

Each and every audiobook by Melanie Moreland grants me the escape I need from reality. Pair that with John and Maxine’s beautiful voices. It is always perfection. Their voices were in perfect harmony highlighting Mila and Nick’s story. The inflection is always breathtaking as they take the author’s amazing storytelling and deliver such an outstanding performance. I felt every emotion times one hundred as they narrated this final book in the ABC series. It is bittersweet knowing that this is the final book but the best was definitely saved for last. No rock was left unturned as Mila got her hea despite the roadblocks that appeared in this pairs journey. And getting to see the clan in all their happiness always warms my heart. Mila and Nick just clicked. They both battled something that hindered their view on life and love but together they overcame the stormy seas. The waves brought them together and it was everything. This might just be my fave audiobook narrated by the pair. The emotions in the way they read slays me every time but this romance with a touch of mental illness was wow.

One of my faves for 2023

Wow! This story has gripped my heart. This is a story I will reread every year. It’s a story that we needed to have because Mental Health shouldn’t be taboo. I love John Lane and Maxine Mitchell. Maxine read Mila perfectly. I loved Mila and all her introvert-ness. She was so relatable.
John Lane brought Nicholas to life and portrayed his struggles with his mental health illness and what he dealt with in Hollywood. My heart broke for him but I just loved him with Mila. They are just awesome. Grab this audible.

Wonderful story with perfect narration

Unscripted with Mila us the sixth and final book in the Vested Interest ABC Corp Series and I was sad to see this series come to end but I believe Ms Moreland left the best for last. Mila and Nick’s journey was the perfect heartwarming journey to end this wonderful series on.
Maxine Mitchell and John Lane did a wonderful job bringing the characters and their journey to life. They hit all the emotions and were easy to listen to and considering this was one of my favourite reads of the year I was pleasantly pleased with their narration.
Mila is Van’s daughter and she has spent her time hiding in the shadows writing her bestsellers until she meets the hero who she choose to play the lead in her book turned movie…. That’s all you going to get from me because I believe this book needs to be read with no preconceived ideas, read it first hand and love it like I do.
You know you are reading something very special when the characters and their story stay with you long after the final word has been read and that’s exactly how Unscripted with Mia left me and I’m sure I will be going back to visit this emotional and entertaining journey time and time again. This is a beautiful written love story that touches on mental health issues with compassion, it has characters I fell hard and fast for and a story that drew me in and captivated from the first word to the final line. If ever a book deserved more than 5 stars this is the one and it will certainly be on my best reads of 2023.

Wow! Just wow!

Where do I begin with the review for Unscripted with Mila? Five stars all around, the performance, the story and the characters are amazing. A romance book that’s raw, poignant and real. A good love story that dives into real life situation, how relevant mental health is, how real love is for better or worse, thru thick and thin. Loving someone who battles mental illness can be complicated, yet, with compassion, patience, determination and having a supportive partner, one’s mental health can be managed just like any other illness. To say that this book doesn’t have moments that’ll make readers teared up will be a lie, but it’s worth reading to educate one self about the importance of mental illness. Unscripted with Mila is one unforgettable love story.

It was Epic! Amazing! Perfection!

Oh Men! Nick, where do I found him? Mila is really luck, and obviously Nick is lucky too! They are two souls with some troubles deep in them but together they are like a fierce storm. I love Mila Morrison, she’s just perfect with all her “imperfections”. I love all her quirks and she is really smart. Van and Liv definitely did an excellent job as parents. Nick fall for her fast and hard, it’s so enjoyable to witness everything. Nick is really special and Mila is everything he need to be stronger and really happy. I love how they tease each other. All the funny moments between them are really good but when we involve the rest of the family, everything goes out of this world. I laughed and cried since the beginning, since the dedication!!! All the feels. I always fall in love with the hero, easily, but this time both, hero and heroine captured my heart completely. True be told, I wasn’t ready for all the emotions, the intensity of love for this book or the end of this series but it’s really the best end!

The performance as always FANTASTIC! John and Maxine always makes my eyes watering in the emotional moments, laughing out loud with all the hilarious ones and swooning in the romantic ones. Excellent!!!

Unscripted with Mila may be my new favorite by Melanie Moreland. Mila is such a tiny but mighty character. She is much more than she lets others see. Nick… he is so misunderstood due to his agent and Mila sees through all that. Through some meet cutes, Nick and Mila “meet” three times. Mila becomes the safe place Nick so desperately needs. Nick becomes Mila’s rock through all the chaos of this. I absolutely love the epilogue. I seriously hope this really truly isn’t the end of the BAM/ABC corp world. If it is, the epilogue helps tie everything together beautifully.

Performance: John Lane and Maxine Mitchell did an amazing job as Nick and Mila! I absolutely loved their performances. They brought Mila and Nick to life!

Lights, Camera, MILA!

Unscripted with Mila is the 6th book in the ABC Corp series, the second generation of the Vested Interest series. This book follows Amelia, better known by her family and friends as Mila, the adopted daughter of Van and Katie. Mila is a best selling author under the pen name A.M. Archer and one of her books was picked up to become a movie. Mila is brought to Hollywood to visit the set and give her opinion on the filming. One thing that Mila insisted on was having bad boy Nicholas Scott as her lead. Not only was the character in the book loosely based on him, Mila also has had a bit of a crush on him. Nicholas is just trying to live his life, but no matter where he turns trouble seems to follow. With several rehab visits under his belt, he needs a role to redeem himself in the public eye. Not only does Nicholas unknowingly run into Mila once, but twice before he officially meets her as the writer of the story. Once in the pool late at night, and once on set when he assumes she is a gopher and orders her to get coffee. By the time they are introduced as star and writer, he has become slightly infatuated with her. There already was a spark between the two, but once its all out in the open it becomes an all out Fourth of July worthy explosion.

One of the many reasons I really LOVE Melanie's stories, is because the characters lay it all out. Not a lot of "secrets" are kept between each other. Both Mila and Nicholas had some medical concerns and they were both open about them and they both looked into the others illness to help understand. The way these two cared for, and watched out for, each other was just so sweet. Reading Nicholas's introduction to the family at the BAM compound and reading his reaction to being included into a family was just so hart warming. I had been waiting for this story for months and it did not disappoint. This book can be read as a stand alone. I, however, would highly recommend doing the whole series. There is so much connection there with the other characters and you get a lot of background. I also enjoyed the way that Mila and Sammy's story overlapped a little so we now got Mila's' side of things if you read Sammy's story. .

This book was narrated by Melanie's dynamic duo Maxine Mitchell and John Lane. These two have done the entire Vested Interest Series and about 95% of her other books. They are just absolutely perfect. They truly bring these characters to life. I hope they always do her books together.

I loved everything about this book and the book series and would highly highly recommend it to anyone.

Nicolas has been cast to star in a movie adaptation of a best-selling novel and when he meets the author she takes his breath away and crawls under his skin but when their worlds come together, some people will stop at nothing to try and keep them apart.

Nicolas and Mila are so adorable together. I love the cat-and-mouse game at the beginning as Mila attempts to stay "hidden" from Nicolas but then how they come together, support, and lift each other up, making each other stronger, especially in the midst of his agent's deception.

Melanie Moreland has created another captivating romance and I am so sad that this is the end of another series of amazing books and wish that there was a way to be a part of this amazing found family.

John Lane and Maxine Mitchell were perfect again like always as they complement each other perfectly and do an amazing job bringing the entire book to life.

Get ready for... celebrity, author, opposites attract, mental illness, disability, virgin, close proximity, and dual first-person point of view.
