Super Rocker Romance

WOW! Unrequited is another super recommended book from Julia Wolf. This is my first audiobook and the experience was awesome. The narrator's were very good and I felt like I was "in" the story. I laughed out loud and got emotional at times. Mauve is a sweet southern girl who has a crush on Santiago since a teen. Santiago is a moody rocker who is supportive and caring underneath the tough rocker exterior. I loved listening to the story and loved the story above all.

Plus size girl + Sweet Rock star Yes please!!!

Love the story, we need more plus size girls romance. Looking forward to read more from this author.

Great Book!

Could not stop listening!! Enjoyed the narrators as well! I love a good story with the chubby girl gets the boy!! I loved all the characters and the relationship that Maeve has with Haven.

mostly plausible

I generally enjoy books about average people, rich and famous are generally not believable. however, this book has every day issues and was mostly plausible. brilliantly executed and the narrators for audio were AMAZING.

Unrequited Audible

I absolutely loved the southern accent of the narrator for Maeve. I have read this awesome love story more than one time and loved it . Hearing the audible book brought the characters to life. I was able to immerse
myself totally into the story. The male narrator was so sexy that heat wafted off the heated scenes in waves. The emotions of each character matched the written words. I often read the book while the audible is playing . I own over 260 audibles and this audible,lived up to Julia Wolf’s awesomeness as a writer of rockstar romance .

Second Chance Rock Star Romance Perfection

This book was fantastic. It was my first book by Julia Wolf but it certainly will not be my last.

Maeve was a southern belle with a rocker edge and she had captivated Santiago from the moment he laid eyes on her. When they met, Santiago thought she was too young for him and he hurt her when he was trying to do what he thinks is best for her. Seven years later, Maeve is hired to be the replacement drummer in the band that Santiago is in and sparks fly between them once again.

I loved Maeve and how she wasn’t ashamed of her body. She had moments of self-doubt, but she didn’t let those thoughts drag her down and rebounded again and again. She owns who she is and she’s a force of nature behind the drums. She doesn’t apologize for who she is.

Santiago is guarded and a bit of an ass, but underneath it all, he has a big heart. He yearned for Maeve, but he was determined to keep his guard up around her and not to hurt her again. Once he lets his guard down and gives in to their chemistry, these two are magic.

Matt Hicks and Amanda Stribling brought the characters of Maeve and Santiago to life. The emotion in their voices made me feel the story. I loved Amanda's southern accent for Maeve.

This book was full of heart and angst and sexiness. The secondary characters provide laughs and support and I can’t wait to read more about this band. Unrequited was a second chance, rock star romance at its best!!

Narrators brought the story to life

Unrequited is the first book in the Unrequited series.  When the book was first released I read and fell in love with the ebook book.  So I was excited to listen to the audio version of this awesome second chance love story.  Maeve’s heart was broken five years prior by Santiago and when the opportunity for Maeve to fill in as the drummer for Unrequited for the upcoming tour, things became complicated.  While I had in my head what the character’s voices sounded like when I read the ebook, it took me a little to adjust to how different the narrators sounded.  The female narrator did a wonderful job with Maeve’s southern accent, I just had her with a harder voice not as sweet in my head but now when I think of Maeve, I hear her from the audio as it didn’t take me long to adjust.  The male narrator at times, and this is just me, I found when he was narrating  his voice, as narrators try to do, sounded slightly different then when he would be speaking as Santiago was more intense then what I was expecting.  The first several times he did it, I thought a different character entered.  I was surprised by the voice difference with the narrating to speaking of the character.  I appreciate how he really let the listener know when Santiago was “thinking” versus speaking.  This was one book, even with knowing how the story was going to go, I found it difficult to turn off as the narrators brought the story to life in a whole new way and was easy to get lost in the story.  I can’t wait to listen to the others in the series now. 

Not a drummer girl, a drummer

I love the second chance story of Maeve and Santi! Maeve is a rockstar in every sense of the word, and Santi is growley and alpha and sweet! Matt and Mandy do a great job bring this beautifully written story to life! Highly recommend
