Good story and the narrator does a beautiful job

Enjoyable book. Narrator was excellent. I specifically enjoyed the character voices. Characters were developed clearly.

I did not know what I ordered

I could not stop listening. at time it felt like a commercial but it was informative and touching and lovely

Too close to home

This book hit me really close to home. My grandma had hospice for the last week of her life, and they did a wonderful job. It was interesting to see it from the point of a nursing student. The hospice nurses joked with their patients and each other, but when you work around death you need to laugh or go crazy. The hardest part of the story was the little boy, something no parent ever wants to think about.

enjoyable and relatable

This was much more than I expected and I enjoyed it immensely. It is relatable and an accurate depiction of hospice nursing and patients and families. I am a retired nurse of 40 years in the trenches and I enjoyed the highs lows and reality. Well done. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a great job bringing it to life

Dying Isn't For The Fainthearted

Great book about dealing with death and dying with hospice. Narrator was great. Story was touching and funny and sad. Makes you stop and think about your own mortality and how you would handle it.

Inspirational and Entertaining!

What an enjoyable read this was! I’ve had the benefit of multiple family situations where we’ve worked with Hospice and can’t praise them highly enough. I also have multiple family members in the medical field so this was like hearing some of their stories of their early experiences crossed with my own encounters with Hospice.

The performance of the book was well-balanced and really enhanced the overall story with the nuances in each character’s ‘voice’ coming to life in a meaningful way!

I laughed, I cried, and I completely sympathized with each family scenario encountered through this adventure.

I highly recommend this book!!!

Gallows humor AND Informative

I never would have thought such a serious subject could be presented with humor. But this book pulled it off! And as an added bonus, there was a great deal of compassion, a great story and TONS of useful information on the subject of hospice.

I am impressed with the writing and character development, as well as the narration. I would recommend this book for an entertaining and interesting read.

Great book

Wow, this is a sensitively told story of hospice care, the end of life. It tells the story of the nurses who do their best to make the sick and dying's remaining days as comfortable as possible. Empowering them with knowledge, respect and choices, seeing them as a person who matters. So much compassion and humor. Loved the writing and narrator, highly recommend.

Great book!

Thoroughly enjoyed this book and the narrator was wonderful, made the characters come to life. At times I chuckled, at times I cried. And I learned so much about hospice! Would recommend.

Loved this book even though it was sad at times

Definitely a great insite to the ins and outs of Hospice. Not every case is an easy one, (never really easy, but with Hospice, you expect death) I have never really thought of people of all ages being on Hospice until this book. Very well written and narrated.
