Mario and Luciano are twin brothers trying to scratch a dishonest living in the slums of Palermo. This proves to be a momentous voyage with dramatic, unforeseen consequences, that will change the life of each man forever.

This isn’t going to end well

This novella is really part one of a book about the cutthroat mafia world. The good news is that all three parts are free in Audible Plus, so you can listen to the entire 5 hr book for free. Contrary to the summary, this part travels a predictable path as twin brothers pursue fortune and glory the fast way. The narration is nice and, given its shortness, this part passes the time as it sets the stage for slightly deeper twists and turns in the next part. None of the characters are particularly likable, until the final part three novella, and that leaves these books on the shallow side. But, again, these are free.
