A Mixture of New and Past Love

Uncomplicated is the second book in the Inked series which is a spinoff of the Heathens Ink series. However, I highly suggest reading Heathen Inks books 1 – 5 first. You don’t have to read Inked book 1 to understand this book, but I think it brings more fullness to the universe if you do.

Uncomplicated is a bit of a tongue-in-cheek title for a relationship that is extremely complicated. The only the thing that is not complicated is the love that all three men share. I really enjoyed this book and the relationship building between each character. There was a lot of hurt/comfort, but it was balanced out with sweet romance and fluff as well as super steamy sexy scenes.

The audiobook was narrated by Kenneth Obi, who does a decent job, but there were a few moments where I think his audio quality was a little shaky. However, all in all, I enjoyed listening to this audiobook.

Love this series. Getting to listen to Beau and Cas’ story narrated by Kenneth Obi was a treat. He really brought these guys to life.

Happy To Hear This Spin-Off!

I really liked the Heathens Ink series, so I was very happy to listen to a spin-off! I didn't hear book 1 and this works fine as a standalone. But I think I will go back and grab book 1, then re-listen to this one as I expect I'll enjoy it even more. The relationship between the MCs was well done. The nuances between the different relationships, as we watch the characters find their footing, made this a good story. And we get to see the guys from Heathens Ink too, which I think is always a bonus! Overall, a good book I'm glad I listened to but may not revisit.

The narration by Kenneth Obi is well done although a little inconsistent at times. I did like listening to the fellas from Heathens Ink, which made me smile. He often does well in also conveying the emotions of a scene. Looking forward to more!

Fantastic

I think Bo's accent slightly annoyed me at times but I got used to it. Aside from that, the voices were amazing. Definitely great inflection, some super emotional moments, and some whicked hot sexy scenes. Nothing too angsty, thank goodness. I'm really happy that these 3 found their way together. They're a really great fit. And the narration matched their personalities well too.

Omg this audio book was absolutely positively amazing. I would highly recommend this audio book.

Worth the wait

It feels like we waited forever for Beau and Cas' story. I was not disappointed! To hear it brought to life was amazing! Beau's accent was perfection, especially at the moments when he laid it on thick. (SWOON) Definitely a relisten!

MMM - so good

KM Neuhold is a favourite author of mine and this book hit all the feels. I think Kenneth did a fantastic job with this narration.

Story comment: good pace, well written likeable characters and an enjoyable story.
I liked that the relationship as a triad takes time and that slightly broken men are deserving of a HEA.

Narrator comment: Kenneth Obi does an excellent job on the narration. I had no problem distinguishing characters and the rhythm, inflections and intonations all worked to bring the book to life.

Loved it

This was one hell of a book. The Cas performance was a bit off putting sometimes, but in others it was great. I loved Beau's interpretation and the accent displayed while talking.

The story was also a mix of sexy times, fluffy moments, some drama and angst but with a HEA to appease the readers and give the warm and the fuzzies.

Kenneth did a great job coming up with tones for other characters when they appeared and I hope to hear more from him in the future.
