An epic journey

Both Travis and Larissa struggle with guilt from decisions they made in their past lives. Neither believes that they can be redeemed, so they don't see that the choices they make every day reflect who they are now in their current lives. When they first meet, they clash and can't understand why they feel pulled toward one another. As they fight against gods and other beings, they fall in love and come to terms with their pasts. It is an emotional and exciting journey.
The audiobook is fantastic, too. Mackenzie Cartwright and Shane East are two of my favorite narrators who always give great performances, but this one is amazing. In addition to all of the beings with varying accents, both Travis and Larissa encompass the old and new in tension. Travis is both Texan and British, which is hilarious to hear. Larissa is haughty and humble, which requires a deft performance. I loved every minute.

I love Anna's books and this one was no exception! It was so much fun and when they weren't bickering or fighting it was very sexy! I loved revisiting Nevan, Lindsey, Max and Harper too! It was great that they all wanted to help Larissa, albeit reluctantly, at least from Nevan and Max.
Travis does his best to keep her safe from the bounty hunters, proving to her that being powerless doesn't mean she is weak all while hiding his true feelings from her.
Such great humor, sexiness and great dialog in this book by Anna Durand and performed with absolute perfection by Mackenzie Cartwright and Shane East. One of my very favorite PNR groupings! !

Love this series!

Travis is never refused by a woman. When Larissa blows him off several times, his interest is completely piqued. The chemistry is there and he can tell she wants to be with him. So what is holding her back from being with this incubus? Larissa isn't sure about her past. She knows she is being hunted by bounty hunters, the question is why? And when she finally tells Travis the whole story, and their push pull attraction is given into, will he be able to keep her safe? Anna Durand once again pulls us into a story that is action packed, steamy and exciting! Travis, a salamander, is quite the charmer. But that is not his only qualities. Protective, brave and strong, he does whatever he needs to do to keep Larissa safe. Larissa is feisty! Her dire predicament keeps her on her toes, and she is ready to deal with her past. Wonderful secondary characters(I love Max) and a plot that never slowed down gave us vampires. fae, incubus and humans all wrapped up in a fantastic story. Give this listen a try, you are going to love it!

Not only is the story good, it is only enhanced by the fantastic narration team of Shane East and Mackenzie Cartwright. Both amazing at their craft, they are able to create that air of excitement and suspense while keeping the romantic spark in the background. It's a fun time and wonderful narration.
