Post Combat Struggle
I love the transparency of Nate. I love the way he told about his struggle with his faith after combat. I too have experienced the same struggle. The thing that made this book amazing for me was the emotions and thoughts invoked by Nate’s openness. I will definitely be recommending this book to many of my deployment brothers.

Impactful and brutally honest
Nate Self tells his story and that of his men with transparency and historical perspective. I recommend this book on every level. He gives deep insight into what a soldier experiences in battle and civilian adjustments after war. I already know I’m going to listen a second time at least!
