Crazy night on the cell block
There's trouble afoot in the old penitentiary tonight, and multi-racial new best buds Eil and Taye have to find a way to survive the paranormal revolt occurring right before their lying eyes. This story is a sort of a mix between Quentin Tarantino's From Dusk 'til Dawn and Shawshank Redemption, with lots of pop culture references. The dialogue is intriguing and full of back and forth, balanced between vivid descriptions of the havoc being wreaked as a ragtag crew must band together to make it out alive. Some of the material is mildly homo-erotic, and I could have probably done without a lot of the racial epithets bashing white skinned folk. All in all, an entertaining audio book with a great narration to boot.
