Excellent overall

Excellent in all respects. A revealing and artfully structured story about perception, myths and truth.

Clever and at times brilliant, a well written novel that explores voice, perspective, truth, and illusion.

Wonderful, phenomenal and all in between

Extraordinary storytelling, intriguing storyline and fantastically executed narration. I was slightly put off by the reviews of the listeners who did not enjoy the book but honestly I have found the descriptions of people and places to be the most enjoyable. I loved each of the characters and the depths of their depiction. Highly recommend if you like a historical fiction with a twist.

One of the great books of 2022

A very good and well written novel with an unexpected structure, asking one major question: what is the truth?

Slow start but surprising development. The changes in narrators are genial. Very much appreciated, recommended.

Well written and captivating!

Loved the story and the writing. Interesting way to present the role that women played in finance where men are often portrayed as the poster children of financial ingenuity and success.

Dull and overly long

The first two sections are tedious - not helped by 3rd person narrative. The literary device they feed into is interesting, but couldn’t this have been done in a 70-page novella?

Not my taste

Not my Liking I did not know it was more than one novel so stopped reading after the 1st
