Most of the time, the demon possesses one individual, but not always. Some of these horror stories arose from poor judgment, such as a pact with the devil or seeking the help of an ill-reputed healer. Others succumbed to a curse, while some are unfortunate enough to simply find themselves in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Some of the victims of these stories were delivered, but found their lives cut dramatically short, no doubt due to the physical torments their human bodies endured during the possession and exorcism.

Needs a new narrator

A lot of the material is from other books. Also, the narrator's pronunciation is awful, for example he says a convent is a covenant.

I know most of these stories.

The last case he spoke of with Anneliese Michele (The movie Exorcism of Emily Rose was based on) he had most of the facts of the case wrong. Also either the writer or the narrator misspelled or mispronounced names and words, and left out critical facts of cases.

Good up until the end

Iiked the book for what it was until the end where they tried to use the last story as an example of good intentions gone wrong. I have researched that story and this book horribly gets it wrong. besides that the only thing that caught my attention was early in the book they use the names of the demonologist "ed and Lorraine Warren" then later called those same people "bill and Lorraine" not sure if it was actually in the book or it was the readers snafu. The reader did have a few mispronunciations so I'm inclined to believe that it was reader error. Anyways it was a good book a bit short and direct in passing forward information.

Frightening Possession Tales

This was a disturbing entry in the author's haunted series. These cases of possession were frightening and horrific. I had not heard of any of these cases before and this book is very well researched. The victims are described as the normal people they are and the demonic nightmares they become. Many had exorcism performed and sometimes the outcome is not always what you'd expect. A disturbing short read. I read this book using Whisper sync, reading while listening to the Audi book versrion
