Charming, sweet and fun... opposites do attract!

An opposite-attract romance, everything about Summer and Noah’s story just made me feel good. It was charming, sweet and fun… and I just felt the butterflies for both of them as they navigated dating and getting to know one another, proving that opposites do attract and nerdy professors are quite the catch! I really enjoy this series and love the comradery of the Jilted Wives Club—how their friendship bloomed from a common dominator to becoming a supportive and loving sisterhood as they each, in turn, risk their hearts for a second chance at love. A new-to-me narrator, Krys Janae brought this light-hearted romance to life, capturing the personalities of the characters as well as their heart-warming and endearing moments. It was a very enjoyable listening experience.

Noah thinks Summer is way out of his league. Summer’s friends can’t believe that this nerd like professor is her type. These two on the surface seem like complete opposites but maybe if the dig deeper they will see the chemistry. This is book 2 of the Jilted Wives Club series and I enjoy this series. These stories are are quick and full of romantic sexy chemistry but not erotic which is a nice change. Don’t get me wrong because is sex just not every little detail, thanks Bethany. The Narration is good with the exception of not differing the male/female voices which can get confusing. I recommend this book and looking forward to book 3. Sisters Spotlight 💕

Great Read

Trophy Wife (The Jilted Wives Club #2) was another great read by Bethany Lopez. Summer has always tried to look on the bright side. Although her ex-husband was a liar and a cheater, she wants to believe that not all men are like that. Noah would rather spend his nights at home with a book. Summer seems to keep popping up everywhere and neither one of them can deny their chemistry. Summer wants to prove to everyone that she's more than a trophy Wie. I really enjoyed reading this book and can't wait to read more by the author.

Very sweet

This is such a sweet read/listen. The series is about a group of women who have been left by their significant others. This story is like Serendipity. Summer finds someone she thinks would be just her type on a dating app but she accidentally clicks the wrong button. But suddenly they keep running into each other.

Fun and light-hearted read!

I recently listened to Trophy Wife by Bethany Lopez. Narrated by Krys Janae, this is Summer’s story and it was such a delightful listen. Summer is divorced and moving forward when Noah comes into her life. Noah is sweet, charming, and sexy, though he may not see it. Summer is beautiful and smart and out to get what she wants this time. I just loved these two together. Their story was sweet, light-hearted and a fun listen and like the previous book, I loved the friendship between the woman and how they support each other. I am very excited for the next book!

Fun and sweet!

I’m a sucker for a nerdy yet sexy professor so I loved this story. It was refreshing and sweet. Summer and Noah outwardly seemed like opposites, but we’re absolutely perfect for each other. Their love story shows you that you can’t always judge a book by its cover.

Good second instalment

Book 2
Trophy wife is a meet cute romance. No real angst in this one. Everything seems easy peasy and fits into place.
3 star listen, I liked the narration. There’s a new wife (sister of the first books mmc)

Fab story 🍷

Eeek! I feel as though I've been awaiting this story for years! Finally I get to see how Summee wins her man over! Summer has always been the trophy wife... she's got the looks and the body to be arm candy for any man. However, she's looking to be in their hearts not on their arms. Summer is Summer and she's very unapologetic about that... I love it. She's who she is and she's proud. Not everyone knows their self worth. In walks Noah, repeatedly everywhere Summer is. Noah thinks Summer is way out of his league. I mean, he's a man that would rather stay home and read while she's beautiful and deserves to be out on the town. But over time these two can't resist the pull toward each other. Is that enough though? Or is there more to their relationship?

Krys Janae played Summer flawlessly.  I loved that she sounded kind of high class. But she totally let her hair down and had fun when with the Jilted Ex Wives Club. I do wish Noah had his own narrator but Janae was pleasant enough to listen too. She didn't differentiate the male from the female voices and I'd prefer that over someone trying and failing horribly.

Short and sweet

I've read and listened to many books written by Bethany Lopez. This is one of my favorites! I love the storyline and the characters are wonderful. My heart was light and I enjoyed the romance. Sweet, simple, and mostly drama free. Perfect.

Krys Janae is a new narrator to me. She is excellent!! Love her voice. She didn't try to do the male voices so you really have to listen to not get lost. She would be perfect partnering with a male narrator. But I REALLY enjoyed her performance. She'd be easy to listen to with a longer book!! Hope to hear her more often.

A Great Quick Listen!

This was a great, quick, cute listen. The narrator did a good job telling the story. This is Summer's story she is the bubble one in the group. Summer is the one who is reading to get right back on the horse after her divorce. She first sees Noah on a dating app. but accidentally swipes no. Then runs into him at a bar. Noah is a college professor who can't believe someone like Summer would be interested in him.
