love the backstory

If you're a Lost Fleet/Lost Stars fan, this is a great boo and series. it goes back to the Republic's origin story. And the Epilogue is well epic.

couldn't stop listening

loved it. action packed, with great story line. treat yourself and listen to whole series.

Disappointed

In my opinion, there was way too much political intrigue to make the story interesting! I realize that authors need to add "filler", but always hope it would be more action oriented!

Rambling

There's a lot of dialogue that contributes nothing to the story. The core story, which is good, could have been told in 3 hours.

I always like Campbell's space navy stuff.

Different scale than his other stories, dealing with a handful of non-capitol ships and a few dozen Marines.

Great conclusion to an interesting back story

I always enjoy it when authors come up with a well thought out back story to their main series plot and this small mini series does not disappoint. good read, full of interesting characters that you can get invested in. definitely worth the read, even if you are not familiar with the main parent series at all.

Excellent Series

Prequels are in vogue. This series is an excellent prequel series on the formation of the Alliance. I especially enjoyed the Epilogue.

A good ending for a great trilogy. loved the epilogue and how it answered some questions I had.

Another great book from Jack Campbell! The narration was fantastic as well and made a great story even better.

Where’s the next in series?

I love these stories! These 3 books could go a bit further in the back story of the forming of the Alliance.

The epilogue makes the obvious connections with the main characters of the first series. However, I which there was that 1 book more to drill a bit deeper.

The political side maybe?
Just had to through that out there.
