Great story

A good story. A Great testimony to God and his love for us. Kept me wanting to read more.

Well written, but ...

The story flows well and gives a wonderful glimpse of life during that time. Some parts were almost too harsh to bear. The clear voice of Ms Cozart is much appreciated.

Sweet but terrifying story

This is a really sweet story, though terrifying to re-live in a way, through fiction, the terror that probably many pioneers went through.
The high pitched voice used for the male characters was distracting to me.
Otherwise there is a wonderful message in this story.

A historical novel with Christian values

Grace, the eldest sister, is charged with caring for her younger sisters after their parents death. She uses the traditions of her mother and grandmother to serve others .

Although there are Oregon Trail events and situations that depicted history, the typical happy ever after ending was not typical of real life.
