Resumen del Editor

The second audiobook in the Inappropriate bachelors series.

"To Mr. Tate Howard,

You are quite possibly the most infuriating, annoying and grumpy man I’ve ever met in my life. I know you think that you’re God’s gift to women, but I have a secret to let you in on: you’re not. You’re God’s gift to yourself. Get over your wanna-be cool surfer self and grow up. I thought it was time that someone addressed your big head and told you straight to your face that you're not all that. Just because you have an Ivy league education doesn’t mean you’re the smartest man in the world. In fact, I’m not even sure if you would have gotten in if you didn’t have rich parents. Yes, I went there. Every woman doesn’t want to sleep with you and I’m sure you’re not even good in bed. And I’m someone that would know.

From,

Your Secret Not Admirer"

Steamy Office Romance 💖🔥

This is book 2 in the Inappropriate Bachelors
I read book one and I loved it! I was sooo happy to have been able to get to listen to book 2!
I loved Laurie West the female narrator, but I wasn’t crazy about Christian Black’s voice 😕
This is Tate and Jane Garcia story and I absolutely loved everything about it! 5 Stars ⭐️!!
It’s emotional, intense and romantic with Lol 😁 moments. The secondary characters, Olivia, Millie and Birdie are a riot 😁. Each book is a stand-alone romance, but I highly recommend reading them in order!!

Absolutely fantastic book.

I found the narrators Laurie West and Christian Black
really brought the two main characters Tate and Jane
alive .
Tate was Jane’s boss and Jane started to leave notes
in his gym bag were he would find them a leave an answering
note for her to find.
That is all I can say about the plot without giving it away.
This is definitely a sweet funny sexy book that had me laughing
with the way they reacted to each other.
If you are looking for a book to listen to that leaves you filling great
than I highly recommend this one.

Enemies to Lovers and Office Romance

I love the classic enemies to lovers romances and the fact that it's an office romance too; It checks all the boxes for me. This book is funny, witty, sexy, feisty, and full of pent up sexual tension. I'm not sure a book has had me laughing out loud as much as this one did. The outlandish comments that seem to just pop out of these characters' mouths are both hilarious and jaw-dropping. This book will have you both laughing and blushing and sometimes at the same time! I highly recommend reading this week along with any of the others by J.S. Cooper; you will not be disappointed.

okay

3* I just couldn't get over Tate's attitude and the fact he acted like a major jerk most of the time...just very unlikeable. Cooper did try to redeem him in the end, but it was too little too late. Also, the epilogue didn't make sense, it was like the conversation they had just had in the last chapter never happened. It was more like it was an alternate ending that she had written rather than an epilogue (*****possible spoiler alert****), and the sweet conversation about their future never happened. Jane was shocked that he wanted to move in and he was scared she didn't want to. Umm hello, she already agreed to move in with him. The last chapter was fine, just skip the epilogue.

Fun listen

Loved this story. This book had me laughing, sighing and swooning. Loved Jane and Tate. We got to meet them in To the Rude Guy in Apartment 5 and I have been waiting for their story since then. They were so good together. The chemistry and attraction between them was so hot and intense. Jane started writing notes to Tate because she thought he needed to be knocked down a peg or two. Tate was puzzled at first who was sending the notes. He thought it could be Jane but he wasn’t so sure. Once he figured it out, he was happy it as her. It was so much fun watching the bantering between them and when they finally get together, it was so awesome to watch. The narrators really brought Jane and Tate to life. If you are looking for a way to escape from the real world for just a little, then pop this story in your ears, you won’t regret it. A must listen.

Hilarious Banter And Enemies To Lovers Tension!

Hilarious Banter And Enemies To Lovers Tension! Tate And Jane's Kinky Love Story Sizzles.

This is the second book in The Inappropriate Bachelors series, which so far revolves around a group of five women who are hired at a new tech start-up in San Francisco and become fast friends. Note that soon there will be eight women, and apparently there will be a ninth as well. The first book, To The Rude Guy in Apartment Five, is Magnolia's story about her rude new neighbor, Jagger. This book is about Jane. To My Arrogant Boss is her story about her socially awkward and incredibly obnoxious boss Tate. The third will be about Jane's brother from L.A., Marco. His and Millie's story is titled To My First and Last One Night Stand.

Tate Howard, thirty, thought he and Jagger Scott were kindred spirits. They met in college, the Ivy Leagues, and worked together on Wall Street, both becoming immensely wealthy in a few years' time. When Tate followed his dream and decided to open an app and website, Jagger agreed to be his silent investor and followed him to San Francisco. It was a lot of work to start a business, so Tate looked forward to Friday nights out with Jagger, which always started with alcohol and good times and ended with an anonymous hookup. But Jagger had forced Tate to hire his long lost first love Magnolia, and now the couple is living together and engaged. Jagger has practically disappeared, which isn't good for Tate.

Tate hasn't been with a woman in two months. And worse, the beautiful Latina he mistook as a stripper four months ago, on his first day in the office, and who has turned out to be his best employee, has a way of getting under his skin like no other. He can't seem to stop his dirty flirty mouth around her even though it could result in a sexual harassment lawsuit. She is smart, fiery, and not at all intimidated by him no matter how hard he pushes, and it drives him wild. But she is also young and works for him. His attraction to her is so wrong and problematic on many levels, and more so since he doesn't do relationships.

Jane Garcia, twenty-four, was thrilled to start her first real marketing job, even if it meant leaving her small but tight-knit family behind in L.A. Her conservative Mexican Catholic upbringing left her with few complaints, but getting out from under her overprotective family is a good thing at her age. Jane's new job proves to be exciting and confusing at first. Cool Credit, later renamed the 800 Club at Jane's suggestion, is a tiny company that has just launched an app dealing with consumer credit, collection agencies, and personal finance. Jane immediately bonds with four women from work - Magnolia, Millie, Olivia, and Birdie - forming a circle of friends who encourage and support one another. When she shares that she has begun sending anonymous notes to her infuriatingly arrogant and cocky boss, her new friends lend their ears and offer their support. Tate Howard, who believes he is God's gift to women, needs to be taken down a notch. Jane intends to be the one to do it.

Filled with hilarious banter and enemies to lovers tension, Tate and Jane's kinky love story is light and playful (and incredibly steamy) for most of the book. However, underneath the surface sits a sad history that ended with years of pain for Tate. Behind the cocky Adonis's exterior lies a childhood hurt that holds him back emotionally. Jane is attracted to Tate in spite of his immature and obnoxious behavior. Or perhaps it is because of it that she can't get him out of her system, though his insensitive words and actions would drive most away. Her strength and steadfastness make her a perfect match to tame Tate's impulsive behavior and be a salve for his conscience. In the end, Jagger becomes a new man and the couple finds happiness. It ends somewhat abruptly, but book three appears to pick up almost immediately afterward.

The use of political stereotypes as portrayed in the media may make some on both sides of the isle uncomfortable, as in reality most people don't fall into extremes but are somewhere in between and for reasons other than simple bigotry. With patience, some light is shed on deeper underlying reasons that sadly personalize and give context to certain viewpoints. While I loved most of this book, this small part isn't my favorite. In the end, though, it appears that this is used in part to expand the series.

Tate and Jane's spicy enemies to lovers story a delightful read. It is nicely written. The plot is somewhat complex, with layers and revelations that maintain interest. The characters are colorful. Tate is fantastic in his absurdity and Jane's intelligence and strength reflect her good upbringing. Her brother Marco's story promises to be just as interesting in book three of the series. The story is written in first person. The POV alternates between Tate and Jane. I rate this book four stars.

As for the Audio: it is very well-performed!

Exhilarating office romance.

I was worried about listening to this audio-book because I have read it. I was pleasantly surprised that I love how Laurie West and Christian Black bring this book to life. I was literally laughing out loud one minute by the sassiness of Jane and Tate and then holding my breath as the chemistry and passion between them exploded. The office politics, romance, and friendship is realistic. The plot was engaging, and kept me listening to the whole book while I was working. Ms. Cooper could not have picked better people to bring her book to life. I highly recommend this author, book, and audio-book to those 18+ due to some very spicy scenes. I look forward to listening to more of your work!

Wonderfully entertaining!

I absolutely loved this story. I like that it is not the typical office romance. Jane is not a secretary or administrative assistant, making this a different take on the typical office romance. Although written earlier, this book does discuss race in relationships. It has some references to the south and discrimination. I felt the author did a very good job navigating this topic, and found it very relevant to today's society. Despite addressing this topic, this book is overall a light, easy listen that I highly recommend!

Steamy

Although not a long book, it certainly was entertaining. The story is well written and I was invested from the first to the last chapter. The narrators Laurie West and Christian Black are new to me and I enjoyed their performances.
This is Tate and Jane’s story. I really liked Jane and I fell for Tate, so swoon worthy in the end. This was a fun read that had me laughing and smiling at time. The friendship that Jane has with her girlfriends added another layer to the story.
