Fatherhood and love, life and books

Rich language describing every day life, work, family, death in a small Irish town in 1962. So many characters , each becomes distinct unique a memorable. A classic Christmas tale but not trite. Jack Troy is admirable and brave character who recalls Atticus Finch of TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD.

Beautiful writing

This latest novel of Niall Williams does not disappoint. Beautiful writing and beautiful story. I hope for another from him.
