Meet Sam Applewhite, a security consultant with no staff, no resources, and some big jobs to tackle. When an armed robber targets a local bank, things quickly go wrong and hostages are taken. Sam’s stage magician dad is in the firing line and no magic tricks are going to get him out of this situation. The police say they’ve got things under control, but Sam knows there’s something strange going on. Why has a law-abiding man suddenly turned to crime? How can it be an armed robbery if the robber has left his gun at home?
As the hours tick by and the threat of violence escalates, Sam has to put the pieces together before it’s too late because, in this money heist, things just don’t add up….

Awesome, as Usual
These stories are hilarious and spell-binding. Sometimes it seems as if Sam is the only sensible character, but then her dad, Marvin will save the day. I love the quirky characters. The narrator does a superb job at giving them life.

Awesome, of Course
By now you know what to expect from this series so just run off and buy this. I have to admit that the summary didn't sound all that great, but of course, the authors managed to turn it into a funny and zany story that somehow still sounds plausible. And of course, Sam and her Defcon Four job is outstanding as always.

My favorite so far
A bit outside the normal pattern of Sam Applewhite books, but loads of fun. I definitely recommend it!
