Merton looks at such great literary works as Marcel Proust's In Search of Lost Time and William Faulkner's The Sound and the Fury to explore the concept of time in our lives.

Just as the body of "Zen" cannot be found by the scavengers, so too, Merton suggests, with the eternal truth of Christ.

It's about time and what we choose to do with it.
Wonderful to hear Thomas Merton's voice. If gives us a better essence of his personhood.
Towards the end of his talk is the best part of the course . It's about time . How we let time control our lives instead of us controlling our time . How we let work control our destiny instead of us controlling our own destiny and time .

Very hard to follow.
I found the lectures very hard to follow as at times he seemed to ramble on and get sidetracked. Also at times, I found him hard to understand, but a lot of that was do to the poor quality of the recording.
So sadly, I got very little at all out of this book. I bought two others also, and hope that they are much better.
