Things get darker in Fearful Fortunes and Terrible Tarot, where a psychic fair promises enlightenment but delivers murder. Alf goes undercover (badly) to uncover the source of the sinister predictions. Mr Hoo recommends she stay home. She doesn’t.

Finally, in The Mystery of the Marsh Malaise, Alf must save Whittlecombe from a creeping sickness, a disappearing fiancé, and something ancient waking in the mist. No pressure, then.

BOOK 2:
If you are into ghost stories like I am them this series is just down your alley.
So... this crooked, ancient Inn is run by a witch and ghost whisperer and it appears she loves a good mystery, all the better for us hey? And you better believe that no one comes between her and her many scores of ghosts, yes that's right...more than one!
The narration was done by Kim Bretton in a lovely voice, I really enjoyed listening to her tell the story.
Looking forward to more in this series by Jeannie Wycherley.

Move over Hyacinth Bucket...your voice and mannerisms have been reincarnated into Gwen the Matriarchal ghost of the Wonky Inn.

In this episode, the Wonky Inn opening- Halloween party-wedding from hell has Alfhild nearly pulling out her hair. Hidden amongst all the fun is the unsolved as yet, mystery of the garden shed, money windfall and body in the bedroom.
Great Narration from Kim Bretton, love your voices, beautiful sounding voice!
BOOK 4:
FABULOUS FENNELLA FINAGLES THE FAIR while the home-bound ghosts run the Wonky Inn and wouldn't that just be a hoot if you humans went to stay there ( apparently you are very welcome ) and you were served food, room serviced and the vacuuming done by an invisible person, OH to be a fly on the wall to see all that!!
Amongst all the high jinks though there is trouble a foot for Alf has a job to do and let me tell you all does NOT go so smoothly.
Bit shocked at that one! Especially loved the good deeds she does the customers...can not say much more so not to ruin the story for you. Narration was brilliant as usual by Kim Bretton

BOOK 5:
SUCH A FUN SERIES.
The Mystery of the Marsh Malaise in deed, so so much I am dying to say but I really do not want to pre-empt the surprises and fun you will find in this book. I am really enjoying the characters, ghosts, witches and humans alike and the narration is fantastic. looking forward to many more books in this series.

The Wonky Inn Collection Books 1-5 by Jeannie Wycherley is a wonderfully quirky and fun magical cozy mystery set and is a treat for readers of this genre. The author Jeannie Wycherley is also the narrator and does a fabulous job in voicing her characters, more authentic and pulled me into the stories. I can't wait to read/listen to more!

book 1: Alf, after her mother passes away learns she inherited an inn from her father. She moves to the small village and starts to fix the inn up.
book 2: when a sobbing ghost shows up saying he is lost and that someone is trying to kill him. Alf helps finds answers.
book 3: when Alf agrees to host a vampire wedding things get hectic for her
book 4: Alf and george are undercover at the fair. Another great addition to the series
book 5: when people get sick and the water is contaminated, while george is still missing Alf has her hands full.

Fun listen

I enjoyed listening to the Wonky Inn Collection. Paranormal Cozy fans will love this series. It has lovable characters that easily suck you into their world with touches of heartbreak, romance, mystery, mayhem and shenanigans. Lots of different background characters with a peek into backstories of their own.

Wonkiest cozy series

The narrator brought these paranormal stories to life and made this 5 book omnibus a delight to listen to. The story of a witch who had denied her powers, now in the position of owning an estate, realizes she needs to embrace all that she left behind. The overall arc of these five books builds up to a strong ending by the fifth book. An enjoyable series, and I look forward to reading more in the future.
