Resumen del Editor

This 7,900 word novelette contains powerful Christian influences, love, family, and other related themes meant to make you smile!

The Western Groom: Penny Wise and Pound Foolish, is the story of a trading post operator and a bible salesman. When her Uncle Joe is killed, Penny is left to handle the trading post in a fairly remote area of Colorado. Her store was robbed and she's on the edge of a breakdown and she's lost most of her faith, when a bible salesman she is acquainted with stops by. He stays for a while, then much longer, and helps her get the store back on its feet. A romance develops, but the salesman is aware of what folks might think, so he stays a little distant. After helping with some dire events that happen later, they weather the Colorado winter together, hoping that God will protect them through the biting coldness of snow and heavy blizzards, as well as their undeniable attraction to each other.

Delightful characters!

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Western Groom: Penny Wise and Pound Foolish?

One of funniest (and tragic) scenes was when Buzzer and Moose attempted to rob the Trading Post.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Penny's heartfelt prayers were so sincere. The way Mr. Smith read her part made me feel her angst for all she was feeling.

Any additional comments?

This story really brings home the fact that there are no coincidences in life. Everything that happens in our lives is God's way of making even insignificant things work together for His glory!

Sounds like it was written by a 5th grader

Don't waste you time. Sounds like it was written by a 5th grader for a 5th grade audience. The story is simplistic and has very little imagination. No character development but for a story this short, I guess that would be difficult.
