But one thing Bahzell had learned: a champion of the War God Tomanak does what needs to be done. And those who got in his way had better watch out.

One of the best sword and sorcery tales around.

David Weber is one of my absolute favorite authors and this series is an example why.

This is a great story made truly outstanding by the fantastic narration by Nick Sullivan. Mr. Sullivan goes beyond mere narration into voice acting, going so far as to use different geographical accents for characters from different parts of the story's world. This extra touch makes the story come to life for me.

Not too complicated, characters well-developed, action, some adventure, underlying theme not over stated. I am enjoying the series.
