How she retains her youthful attitude even in her nineties.

There wasn’t anything to dislike. I liked the fact that she revealed herself as an adventurous real person and not a narcissistic actress.

I love that she read it herself. Love that girl! Always have!

Shirley MacLaine is such an authentic person and her curiosity and open mindedness makes her interesting and magnetic! I trust her, and that is a precious feeling.

Interesting but too short.

I did not think the book was long enough to qualify for 1 credit. It was just too short.
The information was just OK. I feel she could have related much more about her life.

Another gem by her Royalness, I consider. Shirley has been such an integral force of nature for the esoteric for over a half a century. Touching countless individuals, paving the way of the inward path but doing so in varied ways that I think has been unprecedented. I just lover her, and I love as well as appreciate Shirley soooo freakin much!!! From her first book to this, I’ve studied the moves & words she’s shared with Us. She’s offered herself so freely & with a passion. Giving her the flowers she deserves🌸🪻🌹🌸🌼🌻🌷🌺🌸🪻🌹so much love♥️♥️♥️♥️💖

Least detailed story I’ve ever heard

I was ecstatic to begin a life story on Shirley McLean, because I have admired her performance and have been obsessed with her a few on spirituality for as long as I can remember. I was greatly disappointed by how little detail she offered in every situation and had I known it was such a short read and such a quick And simple read, I would not have wasted my credit on getting this. I love this woman, but I am very disappointed. It left me wanting much much more and I don’t feel like I’ll know her at all.

so short ... not worth the money

The PDF has only a small number of photos. Something is wrong with her mouth when she speaks. Sounds like mouth full of marbles. Disappointing book.

Shirley’s authenticity and fearlessness.

I liked the succinct brevity of her long career and her homage to her parents that she praised and appreciated for giving her freedom and subsequent confidence.

This book was to short !

On Audible it was just over a hour long listen !
There were a few pictures available on PDF.
I was very disappointed by the length and content.

Superficial at best...

First of all, I love Shirley MacLaine. Now with that out of the way, this book is no more enlightening (ha) than a Vanity Fair article. Super short mentions of her films, co-stars, etc etc with no deep insights. This feels tossed away without much thought. And now it pains me to say, her voice reading this was very distracting. I realize we all age but then we must adjust to what we CAN and what we CANNOT do. It's as though she's in the midst of eating while trying to talk. It's often difficult to even understand some words. I won't go on because she's a national treasure in my book. And speaking of books, don't buy this one.
