The Vision of the Anointed is a devastating critique of the mindset behind the failed social policies of the past thirty years. The Most Excoriating Polemic of the Left Ever

I cannot recommend this book enough, as it totally dismantles leftist ideology. Sowell is brazen in his approach and totally unapologetic in his criticisms of the myopia of ideologues, and uses facts and statistics to devastate their position. If you are a "not left" of any ilk, this is the book for you. If you are a leftist, and want to read the best thing the opposition has to offer; this is also the book for you.

The narrator is solid. No complaints here.

I cannot overstate the importance of this book! I plan on reading as many of his books as I can get my hands on.

There are not enough superlatives to use for Thomas Sowells writings. What a great American thinker. He is a national treasure and he gives me hope for our country.

God bless Thomas Sowell! Never has there been such a comprehensive, systematic and lucid indictment of arguably the root cause of many current societal dysfunction: the vision of the anointed. Sowell with his usual wit and clarity brilliantly illustrates the presuppositions and flattering unction of the self appointed elites and the devastating societal consequences of that vision for which they pay no price. Published in 1995, this books prophetic insight has been proved many times over in the subsequent three decades. Despite the books ending on a rather dark note, Sowell has been an enormous force for goodness and truth that has influenced the lives of thousands if not millions over his long career. Seldom has so much been owed by so many to one man. Thank you Thomas Sowell!

25 years later and still very relevant

It’s amazing how much this work is still relevant in 2023, 25 years later. If more people read this, the better off we’d all be.

Pure genius

As a former leftist who has since migrated in search for answers I am blown away with the sheer genius of this work. It is truly a much needed piece to those trying to understand the madness over there 👈🏽

Intellectuals, the elite, and now “the anointed.”

I’ve known for awhile now that there really are people that honestly believe they are so much smarter than everyone else and that they can literally run our lives better than we can. Thomas explains this fallacy better than anyone else I’ve read.
