The ease with which I embraced Frank.

The artificial voice that narrated. It was very distracting. It missed the proper pronunciation of words like “wind” and “wound”.

VIRTUAL VOICE?

NAAHHHH, not for me – not now, not ever. Nope, no virtual voice for me. Although easy to understand, there's zero inflection or emotion. Male or female, the same exact voice was used and it got confusing at points. I REALLY want another big bad dude like Reacher who has little regard for people's crap for my next series. Heck, Frank would TOWER over Reacher and is about 150 lbs heavier. But that dang virtual voice! It was all I could concentrate on. Out of over 1,000 titles in my library, this type of narration - this voice - is easily the most frustrating. It was a nice effort and "Virtual Voice" may someday work seamlessly, but it isn't there yet. Someone suck it up and hire Ray Porter or RC Bray who'd, either one, make this novel ROCK!

I love the genre, but..

I love this genre of books. I found this book and thought I would give it a try. I had never heard of this author before. I wanted to love it. The story was decent, but I feel like it was too rushed. I would like to know more about the life of the main character, I can’t stand the narration. It’s just not the same as a live body with emotion. It was hard to get through it because every voice sounds the same. I would like to listen to more of this author’s work to see if the stories get better but I don’t know that I will be able to due to narration.
Ray Porter is a wonderful narrator for this type of book.

The computer narration was horrible!!!

The story was good, but the computer generated voice totally ruined it for me. I can't believe that the have the audacity to charge for this feces!

Good story line

I really didn’t care for the computer generated voice. It missed a lot of inflection of words that were meant to convey more meaning. Also spoke some words and numbers that would have been better if the speaker knew about the story. Such as the caliber of weapon was spoke not is terms that would have been use by people that knew weapons.

Abysmal narration

I made it through three chapters before I gave up! I couldn’t get into the story because the narration was so poor. Stop with the AI already.
