Narrated by Genevieve Gaunt. A Londoner born and bred, she started her acting career playing Pansy Parkinson in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban before going on to read English at Cambridge where she graduated with a Double First. Recent work includes playing Marilyn Monroe in The Marilyn Conspiracy on stage and narrating The Spy Who Loved Me by Ian Fleming. Alongside acting on stage, screen, audiobooks and radio Genevieve writes for audiodrama (Thunderbirds), reviews books for The Spectator and interviews authors and creatives for literary festivals and in print for A Rabbit’s Foot magazine.

Directed by Tamsin Collison, an award-winning audio director with over 500 audiobooks and dramas to her credit, collaborating with artists from David Tennant to Archbishop Desmond Tutu. Recent highlights include a dramatisation of Jane Austen’s Mansfield Park, Thandiwe Newton’s award-winning recording of Tolstoy’s War & Peace, and a new set of all-star readings of Ian Fleming’s James Bond novels. She also lectures at leading UK drama academies, including RADA and LAMDA. A lyricist/librettist, Tamsin has been commissioned by English National Opera, the Royal Opera House, Tête à Tête Opera, Highbury Opera Theatre and the BBC Symphony Orchestra. Can’t stop won’t stop

These get better and better. I adore the St Valentine’s Day scene. Narration is perfection.

Cliffhanger, how is one to wait til 10/23!!

Oh my goodness, I have never loved a series more and I was so deep in listening, heard the words “the personal library of Emma M Lion” I started jumping up and down, no, I need the next journal NOW! I only dread the story ending! Well done, Ms. Brower! Narrator is superb 🩷

The writing.

The humor is exceptional. Rich characters. I found myself missing them when I finished the books. I would read anything written by this author.

This is an amazing series! I'm so glad she plans to keep writing this. I am enamored with all of the characters and feel completely drawn in to life in St. Crispians. I especially love how it is written as a journal. Highly recommend listening to all of these!!

Full of whimsy and vibrant characters!

I’m in love with these books! The world is so real, creative, and absolute joy to read about. The characters truly feel alive and the story is wonderful. I’m hooked. Also, the narrators performance is fabulous! She does a great job of creating distinct and appropriate voices for each of the (many) characters. Truly, this series is now a favorite!
