Resumen del Editor

I am Dušan Kraljević, a ghost. I am great, great, great, very great Balkan grandfather of Daniel, fine young black American scholar living in 1970s Chicago. I am assisting him in sacred quest for major advancement in struggle against divide and conquer balkanization. (We are so definitive.) I have served this line of my descendants for many generations - long line of holy men, what they call preachers in America - in unprecedented success fighting age-old balkanizing demon, like world has never seen. It is not just me who is great, but them most of all! I am so proud.

Along way he will rescue poor Leslie, whose family has lost everything to racist Ustaše - her family has lost their culture, identity, dignity, self-respect. They are very lucky to even be alive considering bizarre sadism of Ustaše, but at price no human being should have to pay.

Daniel and Leslie are both in search of same treasure, which lies buried deep in heart of Balkans.

As I say before, we are so definitive.

Every journey leaves a past littered with ghosts!

Using the sharpest tools in her writer’s toolbox, Linda Keres Carter’s novel, The Tudjina: Mirrors in Black & White, takes us back to a pivotal era in American history, one steeped in both racial Inequality and racial reawakening to share the profoundly painful experience and loving humanity of a young “white” woman who feels compelled and trapped by mysterious forces to search truths of her past, yet unknown to her, that slowly drip like drops of syrup from the bark of aged maple trees to the surface of her skin triggering lucid images of ghostly apparitions that guide her path to an alternate reality that makes far more sense to her of the world that absorbs her sense of being..
The Tudjina, a tribute to self-discovery, to the yearning for a sense of belonging, for a desire to understand one’s connection to the past while history moves forward, to grasping the subtle truths of why and with whom we place our loyalties this fascinating gem of a story is a must read for anyone with a past that wishes to move forward.
When I finished reading “The Tudjina”, I cried tears of joy.

If ever there was a book I physically wanted to hold closer to my heart long after I had completed the read, this was definitely the one!

I highly recommend reading The Tudjina: Mirrors in Black & White by Linda Keres Carter!

A refreshing perspective with a unique delivery

The author's vision is presented in a way that is very different from anything I've seen before. Her unique approach and her sense of humor made this an enjoyable experience for me. Throughout, I felt like an observer to the events that unfolded around me.
