This story centers around the G7 and the tensions surrounding a plot against it.
In this installment Emma is forced to examine facets of spy work that questions whether the moral and ethical lines between personal and professional really lie in parallel. The examination of trust and relationships is prevalent due to her previous assignment but the need for a personal relationship was mundane, I get that this examination of her character but does she really need a man in her life to be fulfilled? The tension builds through out the novel as well as the action, almost like a snowball once things start rolling they don't stop until they culminate.
*Possible Spoiler*
One portion I did not enjoy is Emma's attachment to a certain character, it boarders on obsessive and it felt somewhat forced. I understand that she see's the relationship as the only possible fit to her personality but I'd much rather this character be let go and for her to fill the need for honestly and trust through other characters and relations. She's strong, intelligent, empathic and a damn good spy, why does she need to be "coupled" to be valid?
Another Great Entry into Spy Makepeace
