Resumen del Editor

The riveting edge of your seat sequel to One Day on Mars once again takes us on a blindingly fast pace through events from a futuristic Washington D.C. to the Tau Ceti star system. Just days before the presidential election, a CIA operative uncovers a plot to overthrow America that reaches deep into the government. To top it off, the forces planning to revolt have somehow developed a technology that allows them to transport across the gulf between the star systems almost instantaneously.

The CIA operative braves hand-to-hand combat and even torture in order to get a warning of the coming coup to American officials while at the same time the two most powerful battleships in the U.S. Space Navy are dispatched to overtake the enemy teleportation technology.

With armored marines, intense space naval battles, fighter planes, and high technology wizardry, perhaps the plot to kill the president can be thwarted. But will that be enough to save the land of the free?

May grow into a 5

It's getting better. Don't misunderstand, I'm not saying it's bad at all. But, it tends to be a bit simplistic (kinda like a Halo book). But the main villian is a very complex character, and the story is also complex. William Dufris does a good job as usual (I frankly look for books he narrates). I believe the main problem is that the author is sticking too closely to the "24" motif. A 10 hr gun-battle is a bit much.

Narration Improved From First Book

The narration did improve from the first book and there few voices that took me out of the story. The story didn't improve though it just seems ito continues to be a jumbled-up mess that moves from, one mess to another.

Way too much battle

If you're into very detailed accounts of aircraft dogfighting then this book is the book you've been waiting for your entire life. If you dont want to listen to hour long dogfights, then don't buy this book.

William Dufris does his usual fantastic job, however even he cant save this book. The author is hyper-focused on every detail of "the battle", and I found myself getting so frustrated after 30 or 40 minutes of dogfighting that I would skip ahead in hopes of finding some more story narration. When the author is telling the story, its great, but unfortunately it seems buried in way too many drawn out battle sequences.
