Finally.

I had been looking for a good ghost story for a while now; hard to find exactly what you’re looking for in Audible sometimes. I searched for mysteries, thrillers, supernatural, etc, but most were crime novels, predictable, corny, or for a much younger audience. Maybe part of my fondness comes from the setting of this story. Having been born and raised in Michigan and being able to understand the feelings sparked by these quaint northern towns, it was easy to visualize the scenes as they unfolded. There is something about abandoned old houses or towns with years of unknown history that just sparks excitement. This book was wonderful and I look forward to discovering more from this author in the future.

Unusual and good ghost story.

Once I got into this book, after about 30 mins, I really was absorbed in the family saga ghost story. I enjoyed the characters and the story line very much. Narrator was very good.

Throughly enjoyed this listen. A ghost story mixed with love, family, suspense, magic, and mystery. I couldn’t stop listening to this wonderful and charming audiobook ❤️

A great beach read!

Enjoyable from beginning to end. I love a good ghost story especially when narrator really gets the story and pulls it off.

Capitulated from start to finish , twist , turns and a very prolific reader/story teller - her voice smooth consistent and just enough of a hint of various characters to let you know .

Hauntingly beautiful

The mystery of the Crane family slowly and beautifully unfolded. I loved the story as much as I love the cover art, soooo much!

Binge-Listened to Another of Her Masterful Books

I can't say enough about how much I love the stories this author writes. Similar themes of castle like houses, ghosts, family mystery and surprise endings intertwined with stories from the past. Masterful writing sucks me in and vivid dark images she writes that gives you the creeps. A little touch of romance and main characters you wish you were. AMAZING

Kept my interest well!

I like to listen to books that keep me interested or I lose my place and have to rewind to see what is going on. I listen while I do other things, so my mind will wander if the book doesn't keep me pulled in.
