My favorite author

I loved the whole book. It was beautifully written as always. I especially loved getting reacquainted with the Hidden Wolf clan.

History and hearing about the Bonner family and relatives

I would like the story to continue I love all of her books can’t get enough of her writing.

Storyline of Carrie traveling to Santa Fe and meeting Eli. The harseness of 1800’s.

Loved the story as it continues to touch on characters from Into the Wilderness. A favorite series.

Another Fabulous Story

Donati did it again. Love all her books. Not sure how many times I have read them. Always makes you feel like you are catching up with an old friend. Hope she will keep the hits coming. Performance couldn’t have been any better! What a team they make!

I loved every second.

I adored every second of this book. It felt so much like the original six Wilderness novels that I now must read those again. I anxiously await whatever the author puts out next.

I have listened to Wilderness and The Gilded Hour so many times I’ve lost count! When I feel like I am in need of some comforting I start with Into the Wilderness and just get lost in their world…The past is told so well by Ms. Donati. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us!!

Sara Donati knows how to create the best characters and intertwine them with the best history. Thank you for all your lessons.

Historical history at its best!

Sara Donati is one of my all time favorite authors.
This one seem a bit slow to start but quickly took flame. Her characters are woven together so completely. I can without reservation recommend every single book in her repertoire.

Like I was there.

Always masterful with setting and culture. I went along the journey, feeling and learning. Hers are great stories. Perhaps, they are even better lessons - learned/remembered for a lifetime. meaningful, wonderful book. Excellent performance.

Love this Family

I loved this story as I love the family the heroine comes from and how they have been woven into the story. The trader is very good;however, there is a stiltedness that sometimes interferes with the emotion of the scene. I do appreciate how well she enunciates but, perhaps a little less will lend heightened emotion to scene.
