Story continued with smooth transition. I would recommend this book as Eva continues her story which branches off of Shea’s story,

An Amazing World.

I loved Shia and Fallen and my love for Eva and Caden is equal. I hope this is not the end of the series and maybe have more characters have their own books. This is a series that you need to read in order for full enjoyment. Great adventure, characters, mythological beings, and world building. I will be rereading the series in the future. This was maybe my least favorite of the series, mind you I still really enjoyed the story and I love having the gang back, and the newest Tinrin was a hoot. The story line had a just a little bit too much should of, would of, could in the plot and it didn’t do any favors for the progression, but about halfway through the book that ends and the story progresses. Narrator was good.

I decided to re-listen to the entire Broken Lands series before I started The Storm's Whisper. I'm so glad I did...this was an awesome addition to the saga. Eva's story is deep and full of emotion and integrates nicely into the mythos of the Pathfinders. Definitely another win for T A White and another win for her fans. I'm hoping for many more books in this fascinating world.

90% stream of consciousness inner monologue.

The story this series portrays is good, really good. The writing is absolutely full of fluff. Every sentence a character says is followed by 5 pages of inner monologue. That gets frustrating when it’s a character asking a question at a pivotal moment. I (and I’m being 100% serious) had to go back and reread what was asked or said when reading a reply from another character because the others statement or question was 10 pages ago. When the inner dialogue starts becoming wildly contradictory & insanely repetitive (omg repetitive as hell) I wanted to scream because I was stuck reading and/or listening to this story because I’m invested but I want to punch the space cadet of character. I mean there wouldn’t actually be time in certain scenarios for the people to have that many thoughts. In my head they mostly stare into space. It’s best to read it because it’s easy to skim. The audiobook is much harder to get through. The narrator (bless her heart) is good and makes it somewhat palatable but I swear I heard her even roll her eyes a few times. This was hands down the worst book in the series due to this issue. Wayfarers keep was the second worst one. The first book, and the 4th are the best. They still have this strange writing style but they are better. The series she has about the Tuann (has the trials and convictions book) also has this style and like this series it’s gets worse book by book. I love the stories. Love them. I just wish she would get an editor.
