Before I could come to grips with my new feline friend's secret, Mrs. Livingston's relatives, eager to claim their inheritance, asked Hazel and me to solve the murder. And the amount of the reward was many times over what their aunt owed for the job she hired us to do. Soon we had a plan that included Rune, my new housepet-turned-houseguest.

Enjoyable

Very enjoyable story. I almost stopped listening early on because I found the narrator annoying but glad I didn't

Little bit of mystery.

Great book that ended too quickly and left you questioning whether another book could be possible. Loved the curse, the accent and mystery.

wicked this wicked that

The book wasn't that bad but the "wicked" every sentence is very annoying. maybe if the narrator used it in a better accent it wouldn't be as bad. her Irish accent is awesome though Great job. I'm definitely not going to listen to any of the other books because of the writing style.

This new series is off to a good start with just the right amount of light paranormal & just a touch of romance possibly in bloom. Since I’m wondering where all this is leading, I’m very inclined to get the next book in the series.

ENTERTAINING

I FOUND THIS FIRST IN A NEW SERIES ENTERTAINING AND WELL NARRATED. I AM EAGER TO SEE WHAT NEW ADVENTURE AWAITS TORI, HAZEL, AND RUNE IN BOOK 2.

The power of one word

The use and frequency of the word wicked really dumbed down the characters. It was like hearing fingernails on a chalkboard every time I heard that word. I probably won’t read any more books from this author because of that
