Include in the Canon

Denis O. Smith crafts stories that are almost identical to those of ACD. All were interesting and enjoyable. Kevin Green’s performance was top notch and one of my favorite voicings of Holmes.

There are 3 really good, never-before-heard, stories, told in the style of Dr. Watson.

Excellent collection of stories

There’s many small details in Sherlock Holmes pastiche stories that make them feel authentic and for me, Denis O Smith nails them all. Each one of these tales was satisfying in it’s set up and execution and felt totally genuine to the Doyle canon. This author has instantly become a go to for high quality Sherlock Holmes stories.

Excellent

This book by Denis O Smith provides more new adventures for Homes and Watson. Like the ACD stories, these are puzzles that only the world’s greatest consulting detective can solve. The narration by Kevin E. Green is outstanding. His performance with unique voices brings the characters and stories to life. I received a free audiobook code for my honest review.

Nice Collection

A few of the stories Of Sherlock Homes and Doctor Watson seem similar to other stories, but the logic is different and sometimes attempts to throw the reader off, hang on it’s well worth it by the end. Loved Them!!!

tried to listen but the
narrator did the Sherlock lines so low and mumbly that I gave up.

I felt at Homes

This book was not written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, but it was amazing that it was still in his style. I loved it.

Good stories, not quite Doyle

The book was good, maybe not quite up to the original stories, but it follows the original style and well read by the narrator.

Mostly decent pastiches, but not true to character

This collection includes several mysteries which are decently intriguing, though usually not extremely clever. The characters of Holmes and Watson sway a bit from the original, but not always in bad ways. The exception to this is one story, one of the longest in the collection, which is a very boring and predictable "mystery" which seems to only exist for the author to insert their personal politics into the mouth of Sherlock Holmes, when the original detective never stood much for any sort of political interest.

Narrator is decent, though may take a little bit of getting used to.
