I loved it.

love it is not enough of a description. Kathleen Early who narrates this book and other Karen books. Gives each character a voice that fits each one so beautifully. Kathleen if I could meet you in person I would give you a big hug and say thank you your voice calms me down like no other narrator...well except Kaleo Griffin. His voice does other things to me. if you are reading this review look for his reading and you will agree with me in a minute. I love Karen's books. I have read ALL of them. I can't thank you enough for taking me to Georgia. I lived there for 10 years and you describe it perfectly.

Stuck on Part 2

Struggled to get past the beginning-middle of Part 2....but then it came back to being the great "on your toes twist & turns" story.

Karin Slaughter never disappoints. I’m always so sad when the book ends! Kathleen Early is my favorite narrator. Thank you for another great book - looking forward to the next one .

Just because you know him doesn't mean you're safe…

It really was a good book, but jumping back and forth between current time and the past (in the story) was extremely unsettling! Had I actually read some of the prequels, I suppose that the names of Sarah's husbands and the time of the death of Jonathan could have kept me more grounded, but truly, the times could have been made clearer through the titles of chapters or something.
The story development was good! And the pictures of the characters was realistic: for instance, Tommy's reluctance to be interviewed and harassed (?) was amazingly touching and real. And the question of re-digging up a previous victim felt gut wrenching. The whole situation was uncomfortable and worthy of the appropriate consideration.

This series just gets better and better

ADVICE: Although this book could be read as a stand-alone, please revel in the whole experience snd start with Grant County before reading your way through the Will Trent series. The character development lets you love (and sometimes hate) along the way, I LOVE Will Trent!

Kathleen Early is a master performer that will not disappoint.

Will never look at a hair tie the same again.

This is my first Karin Slaughter book, and I’m hooked. It gets very gruesome, but it’s pretty realistic. Kept me guessing until the end.

Worth The Credit

The story is honestly hard to listen to at times. It’s heavy, but it needs to heard!! Feels a little slow at times!! But as soon as I felt like I’d never know WHO it was, it was revealed!
