Angels announced Jesus' birth to shepherds living out in the fields guarding their flocks. The shepherds hurried into Bethlehem to see the newborn Messiah and left a nine-year-old shepherd behind to tend the sheep. An angel came back to Earth to comfort the boy and accompany him on a special mission to aid the three wise men.
