I missed the old writing and reader.

story was ok, not as good as previous Jack Reichert stories. I did not care for this narrator

It the victim grew up in the town why didn't he know of a hardware store

This is an Abridged version

I don't know if it was because it was abridged ( which I was unaware I bought that until the final credits), but it seemed to be lacking a bit in the story development. Ok we all know that this is sort of Fantasy Detective/Crime, but typically the stories are plausible for the set of questionable circumstances that have been laid out. I have a feeling the full version is better. Also the reader had almost the same voice in the beginning for several characters and it was hard to tell them apart. After a few hours they seem better developed and distinct. I rate this a B minus. I usually give his books an A.

Abridged! Be sure to get the right version .

The book was good, better than #24. At the end I noticed that I had accidentally gotten the abridged version, not happy! Be careful!

Lee Child is one of my favorite authors.!

I wait every year for the new Jack Reacher book to be published. Love them.

No head butts!

I’ve read a number of the “Reacher” books. I enjoyed the clarity of the plots and the tight writing style. “The Sentinel” has neither tightness nor tightness.
The convoluted plot is filled with excessive, pointless detail that is more distracting than informative. This “Jack Reacher” has gone from a being a calm, quiet man who is good in a fight, to a machine who can take on multiple highly trained armed man and drop them with one punch each. At least someone must have told Reacher that head butts are often ineffective and damage both parties. All in all the story read like a police procedural, and not a good one. I hope the next one Mr Child writes falls back on the style that made Reacher famous.

i liked the old narrator better the new one is kinda monotone. I still like the Reacher series

Perfect for a road trip! My husband is a huge fan of these books, Had a car full and everyone enjoyed.

Good audio production- well read

This wasn’t the greatest Jack reacher story but it kept me entertained and it was an easy listen - I’ve heard that No Plan B is better looking forward to that one. Scott Brick did a really nice job.
