He won’t miss the money. James didn’t ask to be born into wealth. He would gladly trade it all to protect the Blue River Ranch and those who live there. The greatest tragedy of his young life is that he can’t even do that. How can he when he may not even be able to save himself?
That protecting those you love is not in your power is a hard lesson. A lesson James is unprepared to learn. When the revolution hits, he learns it nonetheless.
And then came V-1….
