Excellent

I totally enjoyed this wonderful short story. I loved how loving the family was, how they each wanted to help each other. It was nice to listen to a book where everyone put their lives in gods hands. Very inspiring, William changed his life, but was able to help everyone.

Great Read

The Scarlet Wedding: A Christian Historical Western Romance (Sage Creek Saga, Book One) was a good read by Lorana Hoopes. William wants to marry Emma, but his past comes to haunt him. He doesn’t want to leave his men in danger, and mounts and rides again. Emma wants to marry William as well but it seems as if many things are looking to delay the wedding. I loved this book and can’t wait to read more by Lorana Hoopes.

Enjoyed it!

This was a continuation to the series and I enjoyed it very much. I like how it's shows the love, concern and importance of family. The characters show and share their faith. Shows how serious illness could be during this time period, but that things are not always as they first appear.

Sweet, Clean Historical Romance

Newly engaged William and Emma are preparing for their wedding when life starts putting up obstacles. William puts his life in potential danger to save his family and Emma's sister becomes very ill. Can the two get through their trials by leaning on the families, each other and God?

This was a heartwarming story of faith, family and and community, it held a little mystery and suspense in a western setting. I am a fan of Ms. Hoopes ' modern day romances and I enjoyed this historical western. I am not usually a fan of male narrators for romance, but Ted Doolittle did an excellent job and I would definitely listen to other stories narrated by him.

Sweet read

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review. I really enjoyed this book. Loved the historical setting and the western theme. The ties to God and true love and friendship we wonderful.

Finding Love

This is a story of hardship and finding true love again. After looking her first husband Emma find a second chance with William at happiness. It has drama and suppence. I was given an ARC andI highly recommend it to anyone .

Loved the audiobook

I received a free copy of this audiobook from the author. I liked this story about Emma & William getting their happily ever after wedding. It’s not without several challenges, however. Mr. Doolittle did a great job reading the story.

Sweet Historical Romance

What a whirlwind of tragedy these two face! Unlike most romance books, these two are already a couple when this book begins, but this story is all about getting them to the alter! A nice short story packed with a strong Christian theme!
I wasn’t particularly fond of the narrator’s voice for this book, but overall he did a fine job.

Life in the Old West

Emma and William have both endured loss and are excited for a second chance at love. Williams past and an unexpected illness threatens to derail their plans. Complete story but there were a few hints about the possibility of a follow up story.

Wonderful, Sweet Story

I received a free copy of this book from the author. When it started I thought it was going to follow a predictable pattern of many historical stories. Boy, was I wrong. It has a totally different plot. I have totally enjoy listening to it. It is a wonderful story. Try it for youself.
