Historia
Lieutenant Joe Boyd takes his family on a much-needed camping trip in the beautiful lakefront woods outside of town. But a leisurely trail walk with Chance, their new dog, goes haywire when he breaks loose. When they finally reach him, he’s digging furiously. As they begin to unravel the evidence—aided by two women from a local writer’s group—things point to an unlikely set of culprits. Their identities—if known—would shock the entire town...

From a USA Today bestselling author... Sam never understood why Eliza left him five years ago, ghosting him without explanation. He’s avoided romance ever since, focusing on building his business. Money might not keep him warm at night, but it can sure buy a lot of blankets. Then Eliza shows up on his doorstep and throws herself into his arms. She can’t explain her bruises or the head injury that’s left her with no memories of the past five years, including their breakup. No matter how good it feels to hold her, though, there’s no way he’s getting sucked into romance again. ...

Very impressed with the storyline and the development of the characters.
Was not impressed with the virtual voice. Having over 400 books in my audible library It was lacking the emotion of a story that is told and spoken by a human person.

Fresh Start
It was a good story line. I suppose that in some small towns the police might be inclined to help an ex-convict. I loved that he was still a likeable guy even after spending years in jail wrongfully convicted. He still likes the town he left. I felt like the story could gave included several interactions between the Sam and the actual murderer. I loved that it was clean reading with a good sprinkle of Christianity.

Title Me Christian
Good story and characters guided by good intentions. The meaning of the title is worth waiting to learn. Virtual narration is okay, only a bit sing song.
