Good but needs an assault warning
I really enjoy this continued story but was devastated when there was a part containing sexual assault (spoiler - I think chapter 10, right after the kidnapping). A warning would have been appreciated.

Surprised that this audiobook got 5 stars at all. The narrative was so bad the male narrator didn’t even do anything at all. Bad story boring as heck! Don’t bother!!

TERRIBLE!!!
I don't know if it's because the narrator is reading about rape, kidnap and betrayal with a chipper voice or because the writing is terrible but I regret this purchase immensely.

Trigger warning would have been nice
This writer writes about sex in a very blasé way. No passion. Usually one or two sentences and it’s over. I shouldn’t have been surprised when she was equally blasé about a woman being brutally raped. No finesse at all on her writing style. And to go from excited love to betrayal and brutality in the span of a couple paragraphs is revolting.

Short, yet entertaining
These books were never meant to be exhaustive as they are kinda of like “sub novels” to a much larger book and world.
For me it was nice that it was on the shorter side and that things happen quickly. I do agree with other reviews that emotional scenes are therefor also not super well developed. When it’s about rape indeed some readers can find this annoying.
The writer could have expanded the book at least 40% by being more graphic in certain emotional scenes but considering this was ment to be a short read I didn’t mind. A lot of things happen for such a short story.
I like it, played it while I was running and doing errands. Entertaining if you like fantasy. Not many steamy scenes which was fine with me.
