Amazing story! Narration is perfect. Couldn't put it away

Narrator is good. story was great but lacking in the ending. Probably could have continued with the story once Daisy finally got to meet her son.

Held My Interest

I liked this book start to finish but I have to say as the book progressed, I couldn't stop listening. I was surprised to get goosebumps at the finale of the story. I really liked the narration as well. Very clear and easy to listen to.

Couldn’t stop listening

Great story, such a tearjerker! I felt like there were just a few loose ends here and there that didn’t get answered, but overall, it was so good. I finished it in 2 days.

Hard to put down. Narrated beautifulIy. I felt the story to be very believable. So sad what war does to all, especially children.

Historical fiction are my favorite reads and I loved this book. But I wanted to hear more about Daisy and Joe’s reunion.

Loved this book. Ann Bennett books are a wonderful read. The narrator was the perfect voice for this book.

It became tedious..

SPOILER ALERT!

I really enjoyed this book until the multiple failed attempts at escape. Daisy became such a weak character and I could barely stand to hear what she feared again and again and again.
