Long a fan of this author, this story of a father returning home after being in jail for five years, shows the reactions of his wife and three children. One has Downs Syndrome, one a teenager in high school, and the other a young daughter who can barely remember her father. In prison, the dad has come to be a believer in God, kicked his alcoholic habit . . . but another practice threatens to ruin him and his family. This is not my favorite Ann Tatlock book, but it's a worthy listen. Don't miss it.
