Good almost great

It’s a good story. Awesome effect. Poor world building, poor character development, great plot holes but awesome narrative.

Solid story, character growth and well written action.

Fantastic follow up to the first novel. The combat it exciting and keeps you engaged, the character development keeps you attached to the cast. The way the author transitions to third party perspectives to show you the situation from a different perspective, but doesn't linger there for longer than necessary is great. Can't wait to see what Adelaide will do next, and how he growing list of enemies will respond.

But why treat Neuns death like she is a character we should care about without doing enough to actually make us care.

A lovely isekai story where the power progression is slow and meaningful. Many fun twists and turns.

Epic/Balanced/Tragic/and wholesome😊

I love how the power is on a level that seems believable and easy to understand and the magic systems seems like it could be in a game or any other story and the monsters are a mix of monster hunter and final fantasy . Can’t wait till book 3 is released.👍

great build up

loved the whole thing and how the main character interacts with the the world and the people. I just couldnt put it on pause for more then a few seconds.

sadly the only thing thing that drew my attention away was me having to stop and think of the time between events or how long they lasted.

I like this book more than the first! Wonderful story. Can't wait for part 3.

Good but very fast paced.

Very good audio book - particularly the sound effects during the spell casting. The story jumped in perspective a bit much, I think as a way to give the reader more info than Addie’s team behind several incedents, but then has her pretty much intuit that info so most of it felt a bit wasted. I wonder if those pages could have been used to add to more of the world, the business, her progressions, or even more into the conspiracies behind the events or older events vs these more fun but only surface level scenes.

top notch narration

royal guard publishing finds and polishes talent, they've been putting out tons of top content. I'd compare this to the well known Wandering inn, with its female Mc and slower progression, give it a listen if you liked that style. though to be honest I like this story more.
