another good book in the long series

If you read them one after another it's interesting in the last book The marchesa the main characters lover supposedly was in a convoy waiting for him but in the next book there's no mention of it at all. it is what it is right it's a typical book in the Hornblower tradition of the Napoleonic wars with the British Navy. My father turned me on to this series a long time ago and I just been returning from overseas when this book came out so it was kind of fun to read after being away from our country for almost 3 years.
it's okay stand alone but I think it's better to read the books and become more in tune with the cast of characters it makes the reading more fun and more with while in my opinion.

Forget Nelson, This Man has it All.

What made the experience of listening to The Ramage Touch the most enjoyable?

The series is so enjoyable, even if somewhat predictable have several books. Even Ramage's mistakes come out good.

What does Steven Crossley bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Crossley makes this series very enjoyable. He does a great job with the different characters, and his reading style makes the story live.

Any additional comments?

I have enjoyed this series more than the Aubrey/Martin series, in that the times of boredom from the humdrum of sailing the oceans, takes up less of the book, and moves from plots and subplots easier and quicker. IMHO
