The cadets, twin sister assassins with enhanced capabilities, have quit the Space Force and become free agents, ending the African slave trade on a whim.

The Anaconda’s fusion furnace engineer has become a mythical hero known as the Bird Woman. She travels the world building medical clinics and utility projects for native villages, but her popular moral code has attracted the attention of a strange man with immense power. Meanwhile, a giant comet hangs over the planet and a series of earthquakes threaten to reverse the flow of the mighty Mississippi.
