Typical Robyn Carr

I enjoyed this story. Anyone who reads Robyn Carr knows what they’re in for. Small town romance in a place you’d like to live, with people you wish were your friends. Therese Plummer always delivers and makes us love the characters all that much more. The only problem with this book was the ending. It ended so abruptly I just sat for a second thinking...wait, what? Not looking for an epilogue, this story is truly in need of at least a few more sentences.

Such an important thread of Truth runs through the story. Do not be fooled by what seems like a familiar premise. Listen to this whole book. You will be thankful that you did.

Excellent series

I want to live in Robyn Carr’s imagination!!! Her books are great!!! I want to pack up and move to the Oregon coast. Definitely will be listening to more of Robyn Carr’s books.

Robyn introduces new people without totally repeating old characters. Makes the new ones fit in without being crass. Good scene description.
Keeps your attention.

I really enjoyed this book, the sweet kids & how Ms.Carr continues to include updates on previous characters.

Then a stunning physician’s assistant applied for the job. Her name is Peyton Lacouette. Then one day Scott had sex with Peyton and it took his breath away. She was so beautiful. Then from San Francisco she drove to Orgeron to assist his teenage daughter Krissie who was 2 months pregnant. And finally Dr. Ramsdale was brokenhearted because his daughter was pregnant, and she wanted to kill herself. So hopefully Dr. Ramsdale will listen to Peyton, and put her in counseling, which she needs very badly. This was a very sad situation. And now, Peyton and Scott are going to get married, and hopefully live an everlasting life together. And Peyton wants another baby, and she wants to marry Scott.

As Promised...Robyn does it again.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Promise to be better than the print version?

Have you listened to any of Therese Plummer’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Therese Plummer's performance are top rate, she can do men's voices, children s, of course all the women's. She's one of the best.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I love The Promise, it was all she it would be, I cannot not wait for the next book.. I started listening to Robyn book with Thunder Point, and will be so saddened when they end. I want to live in this make believe town. In my mind when I listen or read, I live in Thunder Point and love everyone who move there.

Any additional comments?

Once again another great book from Robyn Karr, it is magnificent, great to listen to.. Now waiting on the next one. Scott and Payton have two things in common. the love of medicine. They fell in love, and it was a sweet sensual love. Kudo's to Robyn for writing this and introducing us to Scott and to others along the way.It's worth the credit, buy it if you must but read the Promise, it's wonderful.

This is my favorite of the series so far. This is such a great series....I would love to live in Thunder Point. Hoping the next book will come quickly! Thank you RC.
