Great story along with nice narration. I was instantly hooked on this series. A must listen for Sci-Fi fans.

One of my relistens

I don't love all of the never-ending books in these series spin-off but I have really enjoyed the Crimson World Successors books so far (all 2!) Why the Blood series and so slow with continuing anything with this? I find the author scattered and over-extended with all his ideas for stories.

Give me more of Crimson Worlds and less knock off North - South Space Wars!

Good continuation of the c worlds series

It's hard to believe Allen can offer another solid follow up to one of my favorite series. Here is hoping he can crank them out at a decent rate

First two books GREAT. On to the last one..🙁

I liked the first book but this one was soooo much better. Darian Cain is brutal when it's necessary, and this time it was necessary. He'd gotten word there was a special prisoner being held on Elderon and was determined to find out if it were true. He knew it was a trap but he didn't realize how big a trap until he got there. Twenty thousand soldiers were hiding underground for them and all the Eagles would have been slaughtered if Elias, Darian's twin, and the soldiers hadn't shown up. This book was so exciting I couldn't believe it.

I think the reason this was so good was because it was written in the third person and the story went from one person to the other telling you what was going on elsewhere. So many readers complain about third person books, I guess because they like to read I, I, I, I, I, throughout a story but there are those of us who like to know what EVERYONE is doing, not just the MC. IMO

No romance and the F-bomb was used 19 times.

As for the narration: Mark Boyett is a fantastic narrator, giving everyone their own voice and his emotions are tremendous when he reads.

Love this story.
Couldn't stop listening at times.
The narrator was great. He did a good job with the characters. He bought them to life for me.
I really hope book 3 is like book 2.
Can't wait to read and listen to the next chapter of this story and it's characters.

A gripping story that leaves me wanting more..

At first it seemed that the story pace was going to be of concern, however, it was required to give you the depth of the individual groups and their intentions. In this second book the pace quickens and now I am hooked and can't wait to to see what is in next!

Better than the first.

The author goes to great lengths to tell you how much of a genius Darius Cain is and he has him do the stupidest things ever. The author also repeats his ideas multiple times. yes we get it the characters are tough Battle hardened veterans. This novel contains enough action to keep you engaged and to keep listening.
