This 1769 edition is highly sought after due to being more reader/listener friendly than the 1611 since many typos were fixed.... Longer than others I've read, my favorite so far
Seems to be longer than others level one books I've read, which is a good thing as long as it isn't repetitive or dull, which it isn't. Very enjoyable story. An audio recording of it is available through Audible.

Good listening for HSK 2 practice
Good story for practicing HSK 2 listening skills. The story is a fun pre-modern Chinese version of the original text. The narrator is also slower than typical Chinese readers, which I found helpful.

Good for learners if you have reached HSK4
