Good self help book!

Emphasizes the power of positive thinking and believing in yourself! Affirmations to help you focus and meditation to be in the now👌

A straightforward read on personal power

This was an amazing listen. The author is clearly well versed in psychology. I was thoroughly impressed by their ability to explain the science behind the principals covered in this book in simplified, straightforward text that any reader could grasp.

Pros:

One thing I find loathsome about the "self help" genre is that most titles are superficial, a ballad to the author's ego or woowoo newage bs to make a quick buck. The is no filler in this book, it's simply good advice, explanations on why, how it can help you and how YOU enact change.

That is not the case in this read. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT, look it up) is something I use every day in my field of work to help victims of abuse recover their power from the shadow of their abusers. Even if you've never been a victim of abuse, you can find a goldmine of amazing knowledge in this book to shine a new light on yourself, to cultivate self love and to find peace in what is and what will be.


Cons:

The narration isnt perfect, and a couple clips where one line flows into another. Though the narrator himself was quite pleasant and relaxing to listen to.

I would like liked more technical terms used to refer to things like our bias as humans or in relation to our subconscious so that readers can research these specific terms to learn more.

All in all this was a refreshing read, one I would gladly listen to again and reccomend to those I work with. The information in here is exactly what people need to hear, no ego, no pseudoscience, no fluff. Just straightforward facts in a concise and well written package.

Timeless

The techniques provided in this book are practical and easy to follow, making the manifestation of your dreams a tangible reality. The author's words are calming and motivational, making it a pleasure to listen to. The exercises included in the book are effective in helping one tap into their inner power and bring it to the forefront. The book has the potential to completely transform your life and help you achieve the success you have always dreamed of if you take the steps. I highly recommend this audiobook to anyone who is looking to create the life of their dreams and unleash their full potential. I shared it with my son.

Solid material!!

While I certainly liked the book, I felt it offered a general overview of topics like LOA, affirmations, the power of your thoughts etc. It was rather short so more time would be needed to go into further detail. I am familiar with many of the topics discussed so it wasn’t particularly new to me but I did catch a couple new ideas. It’s acted as a good review/refresher for me. For a newcomer being introduced to these topics/way of thinking, I believe this book would serve as a good introduction to this kind of material. I liked the narrator as well.

I love the fact that it said to use an affirmation that you can believe in and not just a lofty one. Because believing in the affirmation is the most important part. I don’t hear that being said often enough. I like how its said to be used as stepping stones and not the end goal itself.

I really enjoyed this book. I also got the Kindle version and highlighted so many passages. I've been lucid dreaming for 30+ years and agree with everything in that chapter. I also enjoyed the affirmations chapter. Great information. My wife is big on affirmations so I'm having her read this book as well.

I've never been able to successfully accomplish meditation. I've tried a couple of times with zero success. In the New Year I intend to follow the plan in the meditation chapter and see if I get better results. The narrator did a good job.

Disclaimer: I've been listening at 2x speed for so long anything else sounds like slow motion. My enjoyment of the narrator is based on my listening speed.
