Just as the title states, this an excellent introduction to the power of somatic exercises for stress relief, pain relief, flexibility, and a healthier overall lifestyle. I must admit, I didn’t know much about somatic exercises before reading this, and I’m glad I did. I was drawn to Chapter 3 Addressing Chronic Pain and Physical Discomfort, which is particularly important for me with stiff neck, shoulders, and lower back from sitting too long at the desk. These are life-enhancing exercises and skills!
