I've been on a wonderful and enlightening trip since I began researching this book in 2003 and published its first edition in 2004 as Managing with Conscience for Competitive Advantage. It was praised by reviewers for its importance, need, relevance, and style, prompting me to revisit and refine its premise.
During my research and writing, I was fortunate to discover managers in a variety of businesses who actually understand and practice the awesome power of dignifying and respecting the people who depend on the businesses for their livelihoods and upon whom the businesses depend on for their existences - the perfect win-win. In addition the profiled managers are totally convinced that dignity is the root cause of their firms' profitability and sustainability.
